Dear friends and family of the Venezuelan Jewish Community,
This initiative is addressed to YOU, for having been a member of the Venezuelan Jewish Community and currently living abroad. Many of us left, stopped participating, and as a result stopped helping. It is time that we all support our beloved and cherished Community.
A group of Venezuelans living in Miami have decided to be part of “Friends of Yajad-Venezuela”, a non- profit organization (donations are tax deductible) dedicated to raising funds, which will be coordinated and distributed by Yajad- Social Welfare Network of the Venezuelan Jewish Community. These donations will be used exclusively to cover basic social needs such as food, housing, medicines, hospitalizations, education, seniors, etc.
Our goal is to reach EVERY member of the community currently living abroad and invite them to be part of this initiative by supporting our Kehila with a minimum donation of $18 a month, money that will make a significant impact in the lives of so many families.
We invite you to JOIN this project and let’s make sure that no one is left behind!
Hillel said on Pirkei Avot (Ethics of our fathers) 2:4,
Do not separate yourself from the community,
In joys and in sorrows, in times of plenty and times of scarcity
We are all one.
